I just hit the lotto not really but close

We have been buying locomotive DC electric motors at work alot here latley. We disasemble them and keep the motor and convert them to oilfield motors. The rest gets scraped like the locomotive wheels and axels. We usually pay someone to come get the scrap stuff but they leave the bearings behind. The bearings are solid brass sleave bearings like main bearings in a car engine. They told me to get rid of the bearings and to take them if i wanted. So I loaded 45 of these in my truck a few days ago and dumped them next to my shop. I ask my brother to hall them off for me today to the scrap yard thinking their pretty much worthless. He swings by my house to give me the money that he got with a big smile on his face and hands me $3084! These things weigh 35 lbs each and go for 1.99 a pound. I was speachless, I have 2 or 3 more truck loads to get that are laying in the junk pile.
Looks like I found my mod money lol

thats badass man, i always keep up on metal prices, theres so much crap laying around, i made 2 grand off a few junk cars that were in the pasture last year, and brass, copper, and aluminum really bring it in.
