    Tires and wheels

I'm looking to get the XD Spy wheels in 18x9 and trying to decide between nitto terra grapplers or trail grapplers? I will be installing a leveling kit to accommodate the larger tires. This will be going on a 2011 z71/5.3L. Truck will see more street than offroad. Wondering what will be better tire and have the longer tire life if anyone has any experience with either set of tires, help would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of guys around here run the mud grapplers on their jacked up mall cruisers and get a butt load of miles out of them so I don't think you could go wrong with either tire you named!

the AT's will always have a longer tread life. However - I had a set of 35" Goodyear MT/R's on my 93' chevy that I wheeled the piss out of off road and managed to squeeze 44,000 miles out of them before selling the truck. They still had quite a bit of tread left. If you're building a mall crawler just get a set of AT's - you won't have to rotate them near as much and the tread will last much longer.

i have the Terra Grapplers in 35x11.50x18 on my 2010. So far with about 10000 miles on them good wear with them being at 45psi. Nice and stable with pulling a heavy load, cant complain about them. To get the life out of them they need to be inflated, probably going to start running 50-55 when i do more towing in warmer months.

Get the Terra Grapplers. My dads had two sets and hes gotten about 47000 miles outta them. They still had plenty of thread left but my dad "needed" new tires. He couldve easily gotten 55000+ miles outta them.

My vote is for Trail Graps. I've had both and like the Trails better.

trail grapplers are one of the quietest mud tires and have long wear life, i have ran both and yes the terras will last a little longer but will suck compared to the trail traps if you hit mud. They are both E rated so if you tow, it won't matter which tire you run.

I am currently running the Dune Grapplers, look killer and hook up good on the street. Not sure how they work in the dunes lol.
