    header heat / starter prob.

Hey guys, I know alot of you have headers as I do, so I figured someone would run into this prob. By now if the headers caused it. When I go to start the truck when it's hot the starter just spins and doesn't throw itself into the flywheel, but after it slows down u can hear it throw itself in and if you hit it again its as if theres no problem and it starts right up. I thought maybe the heat from the headers is getting to the solenoid? Is there a heatshield to buy if this is the case? Or maybe my starter is just getting ready to shit the bed due to natural causes?

Ive had my headders for 30k+ miles with no problems regarding the starter. Pull it out n have it checked. Also check ur flywheels for chipped/missing teeth
