I saw where a few of you talked about the new electric fan GM makes, has anyone swapped over to them? I currently run the LS1 fans, Nelson harness, but wish my trans temp was not running 190 constantly. I've got the 28 1/2" rad and was seriously thinking of doing the 34" rad swap with GM fans prior to my 5000 mile summer vacation trip at the end of July. More cooling capacity can never hurt in my opnion.

    Anyone?

There are lots of us who have done this. It helped with my tranny temps when I upgraded the radiator. You could also get the 34" radiator with an engine oil cooler. Then all you need are the lines.

Thanks for the link, couldn't find it earlier. When you say you only need the lines for the oil cooler I am assuming that all the other connections exist for an '01 5.3 LM7? Anything else needed?

Everything else hooks up. Your motor has a plug where the oil cooler lines attach. You can get the lines from an HD truck. It should be a direct swap from the plug to the oil cooler lines.
