    Which is better?

I've been arguing with a buddy lately on which is better for racing your truck; manual 3rd, or drive with tow/haul on. Anyone have any opinions? My preference is 3rd, I've heard its somewhat easier on the tranny.

If you have a 4l60e you should have your truck in 3rd when racing. Finish line transmission told me this when i ordered my 60e. It has something to do with the clutches locking up harder or something like that I can't remember but, I know people on here have talked about it before.
