Thread: new to the forum 99 4.8

    Hey guys newbie to the forum, post over at chevy truck world sometimes though they love their westers but anyways i was wanting to know all the info about a nelsons tune for a 99 4.8 such as what tune to get, what numbers i should expect to see hp/tq, if i should use a shift kit and a corvette servo, and i was also wondering about stalls ive heard i should get a 3000 stall and where to get it and all these others? id also like to know about my gears their 3.42's is there a way i can swap em out for 4.10's? Thanks, and all help is appreciated

    Hey man, I am over at chevy truck world a bit too, its better over here

    Definately the 93 tune for more power, I got a nice flat torque curve from mine on my 5.3L. I also have an '02 PCM instead of the '99. It helps with the false knock problems the 99's are common to have. It made a night and day difference on mine! The 93 tune will also bring better fuel mileage in most cases. You wont be disappointed with a Nelson tune!
