To buy or not to buy?

so iv got the opportunity to pick up a complete 2002 5.3 with less than 110000 miles for a pretty good deal...i just cant make up if i want to buy it and part it out or buy it and sell it complete . What kind of prices do you guys usually find used 5.3's for in your part of the US? thanks for any input guys!

I think best bet is to buy it and sell it complete. Parting it out takes time and then the logistics of parts delivery/pickup can be a nightmare.
Bought a used long block 5.3 with unknown miles for $150. However, I think the average long block price in good condition is $500-$700 around here. If you have the intake, ecm, and harness it goes up to $1500 or so. My prices might be low. I guess you could say I live in redneck ally so people around here are always wrecking these trucks with good motors in them.
