    Unhappy i feel so bad for all y'all NNBS guys

    y'all ain't even got the option of a manual transmission without doing it all yourself

    and that's why 06 is the newest GM truck i'll buy that's all i wanted to say

    i think some do come out manual...my truck 08' has a cutout on the floor

    They're available in Mexico. That's where guys that do the swap get pedals and stuff from is the Mexican trucks.

    no way?! for serial?!
    i'd heard that right before the new 07s came out, but every source i looked up or talked to said the manual went away completely.

    You're still stuck with a junk trans as far as performance goes. If you want a decent one, you have to do the swap to a t56.

    crawled under my gmt900 truck and the firewall is very similar to the GMT800 setup so betting the 800 stuff should fit with no issues and of course the t56 is custom anyways

    but somebody told me today that somebody used to make a T56 for the Sy/Ty, so that might actually be an option now...

    and this truck's only been down the strip once... well... 12 times in 1 day
    i ain't lookin for some rip-shiftin trans to dead-hook on Hoosier slicks

    if i was building a drag strip queen, i'd do a 6L80 or something - God knows it'll hit the 2-3 shift 1000x faster!
