I used to believe that until I went with a bigger cam and got way more power. Just wanted to say that in case you haven't seen gains from other cams. The money your gonna pay for that cam, might as well dish out a little more and get something with more gains than what the LS6 cam has.

And you could knock a few hundred off that by finding the cam and headers cheaper.![]()

I went with the same one in that thread. Its TSP 220/220 .581 112 Very good for a daily driven truck, actually a baby cam, although alot of guys are running bigger in their daily drivers. You could save alot of money by installing yourself, and its pretty easy for a good wrench turner. The headers can be found for bout $250 with the off road y-pipe. Choosing the cam you want takes alot of research and really its a question of what your goal is, are you gonna boost later, do you still wanna tow or haul, etc.

Yea I have a friend who is a mechanic and builds engines and he's giving me good advice on it for hOw I drive and how much I drive. But I've looked at the TSP before and seemed pretty healthy and good for my application. I do want to run a turbo later but it will be a while so I will just swap cams when the time comes (if it ever does)

Good power through the whole RPM band, especially after 3k. Gas mileage didnt change at all. Has a little lope at idle. I think you will be happy with this if you dont want too big.

Where can I find one cheap? Lol
