Just bought a new work truck signal light doesnt stop clicking.

Hey I just bought a 2000 GMC 1500 with a 5.3 auto and 3.73s. The clicking sound its supposed to make every time you signal stays on. It signals fine all the lights work correctly but when I turn them off it continues clicking. I already replaced the relay and it didnt help. I can feel the relay is the scource of the sound but cant pinpoint the cause. Help anybody?

My be the multifunction switch(turn signal lever) shorted. Some times the ground circuit melts on the back of the switch.

Thats a pain in the arse to fix. Gotta pull the airbag and steering wheel and replace the whole assembly. I broke my hazard button installing a stereo .

if you get a torx bit...and use a 1/4 inch wrench you can do it without pulling the wheel. Takes a few minutes because you can only turn it 1/100 of a turn at a time...but still easier.

Alright thanks I'll look into it. That switch is expensive! Everything works so i'll check if I can see anything I can fix, if not i'll just turn up the stereo.
