fbody maf is a 75mm and truck is 85mm. arent the same plug either

now unless your 2000 silverado is a GMT 400 which uses the same maf as a fbody then you cant use it without some modifying and then its a restriction

here something to think about that whole descreened bs. the GM 85mm maf that is in the trucks comes with a screen the exact same maf that is on the z06 vette is descreened. SLP sells the same 85mm maf that is used on the trucks but has a resistor on it to use stock Fbody scalling has no screen on it. Never vehicles use no screen's on their MAF.

Ive personally racked up 90k worth of miles with descreened mafs. never an issue and those were untuned miles

I didnt have any problems with mine either and I ran it for at least 10,000 miles. The only reason I still have it is because I had it on a home made CAI and left it intact when I removed it from the truck and sold it.
