Question about 6" lift w/ Leveling keys

Hey all...about a year ago, I installed a 2.5'' inch leveling kit using Suspension Maxx torsion keys along with a PA 3" body lift...and it has been perfect! Now, I want to add a 6" suspension lift...however, someone told me that I would have remove the leveling keys and re-install the stock keys...otherwise the front end will be way up in the air...is this true? One problem I have...is that the company that did the leveling key install...didn't give me back the stock keys...and on top of that...they are now out of business...thanks to the economy and all. If I do have to re-install the stock keys...any ideas where I can pick some up cheap?

    Thanks,

    Rick

You shouldn't have any issues running those keys with a lift kit. You could always de-crank a little to bring her back down, really depends on your new tire size. What size tires are you looking to move up to?

X2, you can run those keys still. I had that setup long time ago. Just don't crank em up.

get a full drop lift kit and crank them puppies back up! when i had the RCX 6" i couldn't even get my f150 torsion keys back in. the torsions bars just wouldn't twist enough so i just got my stock ones and put them in. since it was a knuckle lift and not a full drop it gave me all the adjustability i wanted. spend the money and do it right. buy a full drop. you'll have loads of room to crank or drcrank your truck as you wish.

full drop.... add another leaf in the rear, and crank the keys.... 6 inch becomes 8
