    EGR delete

what are you guys doing to block off the egr hole in the intake? i am wanting to delete the egr crap on my 99 silvy. i called a couple dealers for a block off plate, they dont seem to list anything. does anyone know a part # or where to get one? or how hard will it be to make one?

The GM part number is 12558346.

    Here's a pic...

Or you can go to a parts store and get one of those rubber freeze plugs with the nut in the center that makes it swell to a tight fit. I can't remember the size, seems like it was 1 1/8th" or something like that. They work good to plug the EGR hole in the intake.

Or you can buy a 2 dollar expandable plug at autoparts store.

I think I have a bare intake with no EGR provision. You'd just have to transfer over your injectors, fuel rails and sensors and stuff... That is if you still have the truck intake.

ya I picked up an intake w/o egr off ebay for like 40 bucks. Looks better IMO. Plus I wanted a spare one to mock up my fuel rails
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

dont call the dealer, call full service auto. there is one off I 10/Fredericksburg and one off bandera and 410. anytime i need OEM i go to them and their prices are cheaper.
