LQ4 or LQ9

Which one LQ4 or LQ9? What year motor should I be looking for my 2000 Silverado. How long would this swap take roughly?DSC03047.jpg

I would go with the LQ9, unless you are going FI then go with the LQ4. Go with a 2001 or newer I think. Someone else can give you a better answer than me as to what year to choose. The swap should just take a weekend, mechanical ability and friends, if you already have a v8.

In one of the links someones post said the LQ9 is good for 4-5 lbs. Don't know for sure.

The LQ9 has too much compression to run a lot of boost.

i'll only be running 8-9 lbs of boost. It's just that roush s/c. it's not much, and 317 heads. So I should be aroun 9:5:1? Anyone?
