Question Fan Wiring For Dual Fans-Two Or Three Relays?

How many relays did everyone use on their dual fan set-up? F-Body computer. Is there a link for this? Thanks

I used one 40 amp relay for each fan with 10 g wiring to the battery and fans. I also used electric grease on each contact point to reduce heat from arcing.

Nice, easy to read, diagram. Thanks. But why run three relays...versus two?

It uses 3 to tie both together and control both fans speed, 2 would only run 1 fan at high speed only, and the other at low speed only. This way shows that when the low speed fan is engaged, it turns on the other one also and vice versa. Please correct me if Im wrong.

I have ls1 fans... I have 2 relays, but 1 switch, both come on full blast when I flip switch (which realistically is only when I'm sitting in traffic or have AC on)

On buddy's truck, 1 is always on, he has a switch for the 2nd.

I got 2 pieces of " L" metal from home depot the length of the radiator. I got the stuff with holes every inch. Made it into a " n " shape (square top) and hung it over the radiator. Then bolted the fans to one side. Works perfectly, and just lifts off once the radiator is unbolted.

Cool. I got the set from an 05 6.0 at a junkyard for $125. They are 15" dual fans. Also got the radiator brnad new also from the 6.0 and it cools like a mutha. I can throw a rag in front of the grille and it will suck it and hold it.
