    Need some input guys!

Had a ls1 swapped in the truck turns out a rod bearing is trashed. so probably the crank and rods also. I dont have time or the cash to build one.

    I have a tsp 224/224 .561 .562 114 lsa cam
    7.4 comp rods
918 springs installed in 853 heads from the ls1.
    3200 circle d stall
    8.1 injectors.

I cant find any 6.0s worth a crap in my area.

    But plenty of 5.3s

Think my setup would work good in a 5.3? Id love to run a low 13 with some radials. Eventually add some boost and 4l80e. Its a 04 rcsb. Would 862 or 853 heads be better on a 5.3?

Id like to have 350hp at the wheels since it is a daily. Boosting it later would add plenty of power IMO.

If i had the funds or time to build the ls1 or build my stock 4.8 to a iron ls1 but just dont have the time since its my daily vehicle.

any advice and opinions are great.

Umm... it should run pretty good... is that Circle D stall a TB stall?... takes alot to run mid 13s on the motor in a fullsize... sucks about your ls1 man... DONT spend big money on heads when you should just buy cubes.... I have done a few ls6 swaps... run 12s on motor in ex cab ....

Yea worst comes to worse i can sell the ls1 shortblock or save it for a builder. Im not spending money on heads. Just wondered if the ls1 heads or 5.3 heads would be the better choice.

Hold on to the block and re-build it later. Build the 5.3 the way you want to, and then swap parts over.

im either holding on to the ls1 or letting the longblock go for 400-500. I started pulling it tonight and should have it out tommorrow and if i work quick could have the 5.3 in by next week if my re tune comes
