wiring help needed
Been lurking here for a couple months now, this place has been a great help for my obs 98 Sierra 4.3 to 99 5.3 swap with the 411 pcm and 4l60e trans, engine harness is from an 01.. I need help with a couple wires. Ive been looking at both the original truck body schematics, original truck pcm and the newer harness diagrams. BTW, wiring is by far not my strong point, so please be gentle.
First, coming from the cab, I have a brown wire that went to an ignition feed to the original pcm and need to know where to now connect it on the 411 pcm.
Second, coming from the fuel pump I have a purple/white wire that controls the fuel level sensor in the tank going to the pcm, but I also have a purple wire coming from the cab that controls the fuel guage on the dash. Do I splice these wires together? On the original truck harness/pcm they have their own separate pin-outs, on the new pcm harness there is only space for the tank sensor signal.
