I hauled my 450lb motorcycle + about 300lb worth of gear/equipment on a 3 hour road trip and got 17.4 mpg! Before my swap I would use my mother's '03 F-150 crew cab 4x4 and it would struggle to get 13mpg!
Now for my little story. On a seperate trip last weekend some friends and I hauled our dirt bikes to a track about 2 hours away. We rode the track and met some new friends then began to load up. I finished loading up so I started my truck. It sat there loping and shaking like it does for about a minute when some guy turned around and said sarcastically "sounds like you got GREAT mileage comin up here!" I nodded my head and said, "Oh ya, bout 17." He just gave me a funny look like "WTF?" I simply smiled. Probably gets better mileage than his effing Tundra. It sure is nice to have the hot rod sound/performance mixed with the reliabilty/mileage of modern vehicles. Thanks LS1Truck.com!
