    Who's quicker?

I've only had my 2000 RCSB w/5.3 for a couple months. And I don't drive it very often. But every time I drive it I have an urge to put the pedal to the metal a few times. Most times I can fight the urge and not hammer on it, but I'm gonna end up getting in trouble if I'm not careful.

Today I was driving it and saw a couple of different trucks flexing their muscles a bit. It made me wonder if I could hang with them? One was a crew cab 4x4 powerstroke with several people inside putting out lots of black smoke every time he hammered it. The other one was a new hemi dodge truck.

So, my question is, which trucks (bone stock) are quicker than a bone stock 2000 RCSB with a 5.3? Which ones should strike fear in my little Silverado and leave me shaking in my boots?

hmmm good question. The NEW body Ram that just cam out is supposed to be faster then 03s up...
The powerstroke... Easily modded so if it has much done it COULD out run ya...
The only way to find out is to race em!
If they win... The only way to fix it is to start modding!

if it was a 02 id say you would be easily mid 14s truck stock.

being 00 its in the 15s and alot of othe trucks on the road will embarrass you unless you come across a gas powder ford.
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

What's the best bang for the buck first bolt on for my truck (without adding a big power adder like nitrous)?

What changed that made the 02s quicker?

So the hemi would have dished out a spankin to my little Silverado? =o/ I almost started picking on him, guess it's a good thing I didn't.

What will a stock hemi truck run in the 1/4 mile?

The powerstroke was putting out so much black smoke I figured it must have been modded. But I don't really know how much smoke they put out when they aren't modded. It was so big and heavy looking and since it had several people in it I thought I might have had a chance against him. He was really showing off a lot, I'm sure he would have raced in a heartbeat.

tons of black smoke means he needs a bigger turbo....too much spent fuel. I ran a 2006 6.0 powerstroke this weekend with a "claimed" 500HP in mods . My stock 6.0 gas with Bullydog tuner took him, had him at 2 truck lengths in the quarter.

I'm beginning to feel like my poor little truck is nothing more than an ankle biter.
