Ok, who all is running the sts kit at the standard boost level? The only two that I know of is jerry2500 and bud8fan. What did your MPG do after the turbo. I am just curious what the kit would do on my truck at 5psi or whatever it is out of the box. I am quessing that i would have to upgrade my injectors even for 5 psi. Does anyone have any ideas what kinda times it might run or horspower it might put out?

With the STS you will usually get a little better mileage. I have broken 29mpg with my Formula a few times since I put the kit on. 27.5 was the best w/o the turbo.
With a stock 5.3, you should put down 325 - 335. There is a hell of a difference.
We installed a kit on a truck a few weeks ago, and the customer was very pleased with the sound, power, and quality of the kit.
You may need injectors even with 5psi. Its not a bad idea either way.

If I'm not mistaken, the standard STS kit is made to bolt right up to a stock truck. No need to change anything out. Injectors should hold up just fine. While you may want to upgrade them, it is not nessary for only 5psi. Now, as far as power, I would say looking at a 100-150hp gain. This is dependant on your engine though. Bigger engine = bigger gain, also More Boost = More power. Fuel mileage should go up, espcially if you keep your foot out of it.
Couldn't tell ya what the times would be, but expect a couple seconds off your old time in the 1/4.

I picked up 2 mpg city and hwy. But it may not all be from the turbo. Some the gain is proubly from the tune. And I gained 3 mpg towing and most of that is from the turbo. The engine doesn't have to work as hard pulling heavy loads. But like bud8 said the first few months gas mileage may suck because of the heavy right foot. Which reminds me i need to rotate the tires.

Um i am not worried about burning up tires as I have all wheel drive. Also I do not have the 5.3 I have the 6.0 325/375 ( Denali version ) I mentioned about the injectors becuase i have heard of people maxing them out on the 6.0 at 5 psi. Most recently bud8fan. The other thing that i am wondering is how well my tranny will hold up to it (4L65E) I do not want to do anything crazy to the truck until the warrenty is up. When that happens I have a whole different motor and will be running high boost via a T-76. Until the warrenty is up I want to keep it simple incase something happens, this way i can yank it off and take it in.
