    6.0 charged

Okay guys I'm building an 02 Sierra this summer, rcss, z-71, I already hav a 14blt rearend, I want a 6.0 stroked, I don't know if that makes a 408? Mid grade heads and cam, with a 4l80e with a badass shiftkit, and a good torque converter, planning on supercharging but that's a different phase, so minus the supercharger and labor how much money in parts do you guys think?

    Start saving!

I bet an easy $10K for an all motor setup.
Another $8K for the supercharger setup and all supporting mods.

It would really depend on what shops and all you use. What heads you decided... The rotating assembly alone is in the area of 5k.
As far as the motor you can go to sdparts.com and find a good idea of what all parts needed are going to run you. Allen is pretty well dead on if you use decent parts. Could be higher if you were wanting to run trick flow heads or something...

didnt mean to scare ya off, i just buy top of the line parts, you can probably get a 408 short block around 3500.00 decent heads and cam would net some decent power...

but like g said it can and it could get very expensive !!

if you have a good 6.0L you can buy a 402ci stroker kit from SDParts | GM Performance Parts, GM Crate Engines, GM Goodwrench Crate Motors and Performance Crate Engines - 1-800-456-0211 for 1899.00 with a Callies Compstar 4.00'' stroke crank, Callies Compstar 6.125'' rods and forged pistons with nitrous or FI rings. then just buy gaskets and put it all backtogether with a good set of pushrods and some MLS head gaskets and arp head/main/and rod bolts
