    4.8 cam?

What cam would work the best for my truck? I have a 2000 regular cab and i tow a 20ft boat sometimes and i just want alittle more power. I am going to do a few other things like exhaust and intake and heads so i was just wondering. also whats a good place to get head ive seen some on ebay for like 175 so i would like to know if they are good.

If you are wanting to keep low end go with a 206/212 with a .53x/.53x 114. its one of comps truck cams. With this cam, LPP headers, magnaflow, and spectre CAI (good quality CA for cheap) you should pick up a decent amount of power and sound.

Whatever you do, do not get a "performance copy" or regrind from the Ebay seller. Trust me.

The 208/212 .53x/.53x 114 LSA cam is a good choice. It might net like 25 hp more, but it will get more usable power under the curve.

You can do a slight mill cut (.010), 3-angle valve job, and polish the combustion chambers on your stock heads and it will flow a ot better. Make sure to have the valve job done by a reputable shop--cause the head is only as good as the valve job.

It ran pretty well actually. I went down to Mexico last year and ran him. I pulled him by about a truck. I was DEFINITELY surprised to see his truck run that well.
