I have a 95 sierra z71 with lots of mods. I want to do an LS1 T56 conversion. I dont care about the 4wd anymore, its only a good weather vehicle now. I will get rid of the 4wd components altogether if possible. Is it possible to even put the T56 into my truck with the frame being 4wd in the first place? The person that is going to help me do the conversion emailed me with this...

"You cannot just convert it to 2wd, the frames are different in the front and it is not worth it." "But if you want we could probably put the LS1 in and keep it 4wd but not the t56."

    what does everyone else think?

    -thanks,
    Mike

Sounds like you need to do some truck trading, it would make things a lot easier and if I was going to have to have a front differential in my truck I would want a driveshaft going to it so I would say do some swapping for a 2WD
