It's been a fun filled night, I just got back from having my truck flat bedded home. Took the wife and my son out for ice cream, then got the idea, hmmm there is an ash pile and muddin spot nearby, let's go 4 wheelin.

well, I climbed a HUGE very steep hill, got to the top, shut the truck off and it wouldn't start back up!

getting power, keeps blowing the ignition fuse(the huge ass fuse under the hood) I swapped in the abs etc. fuses in the IGN. spot and they just fried too.

I am thinking that maybe the ASM headers I installed a week ago rubbed a starter wire when I flexed the truck 4 wheelin?

basically, the ign. fuse keeps popping and the starter is doing nothing, not even clicking! HELP! I need the truck running ASAP!

    thanks!

    hmmm, that one really sux,

just stick a piece of 8g wire in place of the fuse, jk

i agree, maybe something is rubbing, but that could be anywhere , is think there is a big red + cable near the block, or how's the alternator wire look, just trying to throw out some ideas.

    later,

What did you find out on this?

I'd look for electrical shorts...it is a HUGE PITA but has to be done. Tracing the starter wire is a good start. If it is toast, suggest wrapping it with a high temp wrap like that goes on a downpipe.

    Hope that helps...

I got it fixed, the starter wire rubbed the header! and melted the fuse box some.
