    Coolant flush

    When is a good time to get the coolant flushed and filled? 2004 Silverado with 88K. Thanks!
    2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit

    That would be a great time to change it. But......I don't have the time or the extra money for a cam swap right now.

    No need really. Dexcool really only fails on the older sand cast engines that also have a propensity for coolant leaks (and therefore suck in air while cooling off). If you're anal, do it at 5 years or 150K miles.

    Just dont let the oil change places do it for you. Its way easier to do at home. And cheaper.

    Dexcool also eats away aluminum if you leave it for too long, I've seen it.
