Thread: tr224 or tr220

    tr224 or tr220

    Hey i have a 4.8 auto reg cab short box i have LTs, 410s, CAI. im planning on doing the cam, e fans, UD pulley. and a 3200 stall. should i get the tr224 or the tr220 im pretty set on the 112 LSA because i want that mean sounding idle. thanks.

    You better plan on a stall too. The TR220 will be right at home in there.

    TR220, I personally wouldn't go any bigger in a 4.8.

    I love my TR220 but i got a 114 though i need a stall still...

    02 Fully forged Iron Ls1 233/239 595/603 112lsa,
    milled, ported& polished heads,
    K&N CAI, shorty headers,
    off road x-pipe, Pypes M-80s dumped,
    TCI 3600 stall ,TransGo shift kit,
    True Trac w/3:73s, 4/6 drop,
    and a Fast LSXRT 102

    put some sick flowing heads on it with a tbss 90mm intake and tb and a 4k stall and be done

    tr220
    Simple: 408 on steroids!

    how is it without the stall if you just drive on the street and go from a kick everyonce in a while?

    I didn't even see that he had a stall. That made my post stupid. If it's any help, I was going to run a 228R in my 5.3 before I changed plans.
