    Spare PCM/TCM how to! help

I have not messed with the PCM/TCM off of my 2009 CC Silvy and dont want to. So i bought a used set.
I read the tune on the original set and then flashed the spare set but the VIN did not change and when I try to start the truck Nothing. I put my original set back in and everything back to normal.

Spare set comes from a 2007 silvy and mine is a 2009.

    Im using HP Tuners

First of all, you need to do a Write Entire, and wait 1 min with key off.

Then, perform the vats relearn, then crank relearn, then it'll start.

Before you perform the write entire, you can turn vats off.

    OK thanks ill try that!
I have done the write entire but have not waited with the key off!

I have done all that just not in that order.

    Hopefully it will work!

If you turn vats off, no need to do the relearn, it'll still start with no ckp relearn too.

    vats is what's stopping you.

the write entire will transfer the vin too.
