    How to make some HP??

Hey I have a 2006 GMC 1500 with a 5.3L. I have been looked around on the internet on how to make a little more power and found that I should do an exhaust, aftermarket air filter, a power programmer. Is there an thing else to do that doesn't cost to much.

    get

    some...

    pacesetter long tube headers
    magnaflow muffler
    k-n cold air intake

and DO NOT get a programmer,,get a nelson performance tune.

i had a hypertech and it helped but not as much as a custom tune from nelson did.

If you want quick, easy power, skip those tuners that offer "a tune in a box/can" and go with HP Tuners

I wasnt saying to avoid Nelson or others, I was just steering him away from hand held "programmers". I would still recommend HPT to ANYONE. We had our HPT Pro for almost a year before we went and took the class, the class just enhanced what we already learned by reading and trying stuff out.
