You can do it without the harness. The main thing the harness does is memory seat position and heated seats. If you want to hook up the heated seats you will need harness controls and etc.
I just ran power and grounds to my seats and they work great.

Sweet, can you tell me what pins are what?

or PM me a diagram or a pic of how you have them hooked up?

I don't need memory seats, and i really don't need the heated part either.

    Thanks

I really can't remember. My truck is in the warehouse at work. I am pretty sure they are easy to spot. If you have a haynes manual it may be in there. A guy that works for me is a master certified tech and he wired em up. I will look when I get there tomorrow.

Please let me know, i was looking at the harness's tonight and there are a couple larger wires, i am assuming that will be the power, and then a bunch of smaller ones. Still wouldn't mind having the actual harness, but if its super simple to wire up that would work also.

    Thanks, Andy
