    Tire/Wheel Question

I am looking @ buying a set of 2008 Z71 wheels for my 2004 Silverado. The tire size is 285/60/18's. Will these fit my truck ok and will the tire hang past the fender?

I have 285/60R20 and my tires hang out a bit but I have plenty of clearance. If I was going to lower it a bit, it might rub on the fender lip slightly. It all depends on the offset of the rim you are going with.

Are you buying them online, or can you go to the location and do a fit check?

its a 32-33'' tire. 33'' tire on stock z71 wheels are fine. Won't stick out.

May have to turn the keys in a few turns. Just for those sharp turns. But can be done without doing so.

    60 series........more like a 32 now that i think about it.

The calculator popped up with a warning saying to stay within 3% of the factory tire size due to brake failure. The new tires would be 4.49% bigger. Is the warning just something to cover their a$$e$? The guy selling them lives about 10 miles from me and I don't think he would have a problem with a test fit. I don't have keys since mine is a 2WD. I do have a 2" level on the front. Also, it comes up with a speedometer difference of about 3 MPH slower.
