Thread: GTO ride quality

    GTO ride quality

Anyone know how newer GTOs compare to the 2000 era fbodys.
I am thinking about getting one as my second vehicle but want it to ride good. Do they rattle like hell after a few thousand miles?

    Thanks in advance

ive done alot of research. there is a thread over on ls1tech in the gto forum. it is awesome read.
but basically the ride in a gto is great. seats are awesome. no little rattles like the fbody. you will probably want to do the basic peddlers suspension. but i think thats only a 100 bucks or so.
    hope this helps

I've head several fbodys and now a gto, there is no comparing the interior. mine is an '05 and still doesn't rattle, rearend doesn't whine and no wind noise.

right quality is decent, but like any vehicle it needs an upgrade, but nothing like the fbody.

i installed koni adjustables and eibachs when i purchased mine, so i didn't ride around on the stock config much.

but yes, get one, it's a nice car, does everything well, and be sure to get the 05+, 6.0L.

I never owned one but test drove one and it was enough for to contemplate a purchase even though it was completely unnecessary It was great i loved it.

No comparison. Sorry to those F-car fans out there but a Camaro with frame connectors and a roll bar is sloppier than a GTO. Very tight German cars they are.

Well the Mrs. Said the only way she would be ok with me buying another car is to sell my truck.
I will be stashing some cash back for a deal.

I have been thinking of a spare ride for some time. I am just spoiled and don't want a crappy little wimp car or truck.
