    wheel color change

my 82 c-10 has been down for 3 months, and it getting a new heart (lsx motor) . everyday when i walk to the garage and i see the red wheels the more i dislike them, so im going to paint them. i was thinking of dark grey, black, or color matched to the truck. what do you guys think? or what other would look good?

those MIGHT not be enough meat for that motor.

Can't go wrong with black, but might be time to widen/replace them completely.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

I agree but there's something to be said for wheels you don't have to pay for. If you can swing it I would replace completely but if not, I would go with a dark color...charcoal gray or black.

I vote dark gray or black with a pinstripe in the middle of the hump for some contrast.

I have an extra set of 20" wheels with new tires, but i like the steelies better. im not sure if the owner before me widen the rear wheels because there 15x8 and the fronts are 15x7.
