metric ratchet set, 24mm socket, new crank bolt dealer item, springs, hardened pushrods, 2 5/16th dowl rods wooden from lowes or where ever.use air or bring the piston up to TDC so that your valves dont drop while changing springs, frluid replacement and that should be all.

dont forget a Nelson Performance - Performance without Sacrificing Drivability tune.
Also get coolant, and always make sure a local parts store is open. You WILL make a trip or two.

    Garrisson got close.

    8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm sockets (short and deep)
    Spark plug socket
    LS1 style valve spring compressor
    Pliers
    24mm socket for crank bolt
    Heavy duty 3-jaw pulley puller
Kerosene torch (for heating up crank pulley to get back on nose of crank)
Small pick (for tranny cooler lines)
    Slot head screwdriver
    Torque wrench
5 lb bag of Kitty Litter
    6 quarts oil and filter
    1 gallon of Dexcool coolant
    Timing chain (depending on mileage)
    Crank Bolt
Water Pump gaskets (depending on mileage and condition)

    I think that's it.

If you don't have a compressor, you can use the TDC method for the springs...
