    Valve train noise no more......

So everyone knows how loud the LS motor valve train noise is. Easy way to quiet it down is the Harland sharp rocker upgrade, this is where they replace the needle bearings with a bushed insert. Its like a night and day difference, plus you don't have to worry about the needle bearings failing. Here are a few pics of the upgraded rockers vrs stock ones.. Well worth the money in my opinion.

What will they think of next? Removing roller rockers for non-rollers is now an upgrade. Is quiet worth it? There were some needle bearing failures 6-7 years ago but the last 2 or million sets have been good.

Well I just did a set that had needle bearing failures, so it kinda worth it to me. And the stock rockers aren't roller rockers....

Yes they are....just not full roller. Roller rockers have roller fulcrum, full rollers also have a roller tip. The fulcrum makes the waaaay biggest difference hence no roller tips OEM ('96 LT4's had full rollers). I'd bet 0.04% of the roller rockers GM built failed but if it's quieter and more reliable then it must be a cool mod.

Dare I ask how much it costs?

Here is the link to the conversion kit... LS1/LS6

Once again well worth it when you have a higher lift cam than STOCK and a couple of your bulletproof OEM Roller rockers FAIL and leave needle bearings all in your motor...Maybe just me, but I went ahead and did the conversion on mine without a second thought.

    Cool.

Real pricey but I can't afford an engine swap much less a cam.

It looks like well engineered stuff to me. Did you get the new rockers already converted or did you do the conversion with their parts.

I just sent off 2 sets and had them do the conversion, they looked brand new when I got them back.
