Well I think the Gibson is finally taking a crap on me. I keep hearing this rattling sound coming from the muffler when I'm accelerating at certain RPM's. So I think it's time to replace it after about 4-5 years of hard life. What do yall think??? Give me some good feedback on some mufflers or cat-backs that sound good but not too harsh and don't have that drone at 60-70 mph. That was one thing about the Gibson it was pretty quiet down the hi-way and not too harsh at idle or slight accel. Hell' now that I think about it I couldn't even hear it at the track when watching the video playback!!! Flowmaster is defenetly (sp.) out of the question. I was thinking about magnaflow or dynomax but wanted some opinions on these or any other I should consider...Zed

Going to have to throw another vote here for Magnaflow. They have a great sound. If you have the cheese, like I wish I had, I would go with a Corsa or B&B catback. They are expensive as hell, but I have yet to hear a system that sounded anywhere near as good as the B&B.

Yes I concur, B&B sounds fantastic!

Well, I decided to go w/ Dynomax for the price right now. I couldn't stand the rattle at 2200 and 2600 when giving it about 1/3 throttle. I was embarrased to drive my truck!!! It sounded and reminded me of one of those fart cannons on the ricers!!! Hell, imagine that a V-8 fart can muffler. I just ordered the Ultra-Flow muffler and going to dump it b-4 the axle. Prolly save up some cash and get the full system later, still either Dynomax or Magnaflow. I am leaning more toward the Mag for a full system though. I'll have to see how the Dynomax sounds first though before I make my mind up. Any predictions on the sound, cab resonance, etc??? To me the Mag does seem like a better built muffler but I always wanted to try out the Dyno after I got the Gibson...Zed

Before I put my turbo on I had a Magnaflow. It was great. After I took it off I notice it had a crack in it. I told the exhaust guy that put it on and he said bring it to me and I will give you a new one or your money back. Life time warranties are nice
