    60E trans problem

Well after having the cam in and headers, i went back to stock and Nelson Performance sent me a "stock" tune, and i started to have a bad "jerking" motion when the truck was in O.D. and i applied slight throttle, this was only happening between 35 and 50mph, so NP retuned and the problem went away for about 5 months now, and now its back, but only between 40 and 50 mph.

Could it be the lockup solenoid failing? How hard is this to fix from the bottom of the trans without taking it out. FYI the trans was "rebuilt" *cough* by a trans shop about 22k miles ago...and of course its out of warranty now.

Anyone with suggestions is appreciated. I have to drive this truck until i can find a job and get some money in the bank.

the lock in the convertor is the only thing i have ever had go bad with the lock up feature, but who knows it could be in the tranny instead in your case.

it does sound more like a timing issue to me, so maybe the timing is a little off or something.

Some of the 03-04 Tahoes, etc. used to get water in the trans through the filler from a faulty design cowl drain. The water would eventually loosen the the bonding of the T/C clutch lining. Some were more severe than others. Never was there enough water in the fluid to show on the dipstick on the ones I had. You could only see a film on the bottom of the pan when removed and rusted valve body spacer plate.

Not saying that's what you have but I am saying the clutch in the T/C is kinda sensitive. In addition to possible T/C problems, there could be a sticking valve or debris in the valve body, a leaking TCC solenoid, or something a little off in the tune.
