    Thumpr cams

i have a nnbs rcsb with a 4.8l its mainly just for show... im now wanting to do a cam swap and never really knew much about cams. not looking to take the truck out racing every weekend just something to give it some sound& power...

I had a tr220 but ending up selling it..

    YouTube - LS1 THUMPER CAM

found this video on youtube with basicly the same truck (4.8L) i have, running the compcams thumpr cam. the specs on the cam are 219/233 554'537' 109LSA

i read that this cam is best with a 2k stall an gears.. according to compcams

how will this cam be against a tbstall, and 4.10's

    please no junk talk.. thanks

im pretty sure Zach got rid of that cam real fast, he didnt like it. but if you do decide to go with it, id suggest more like a 4k stall instead of 2k...

The 220/220 would have been mean with a 4.8. I beleive the member mentioned got rid of his with the plans of boost in the future. It is a pretty nasty cam but not good with FI . But like stated above I would get the yank you mentioned if this is the cam you are going with.

hey man glad you made it to this site...

yea bro go for the tr220 if your going to race, the thumper if you want the nice sound, beleve me i turned alot of heads and got many compliments .but its sucked when i couldnt back up the mean sound lol.but too like i mentioned i was running the 3.23 gears.4.10s and that 3600 should be good enough for that thumper.power started around 3k-.

    maybe you can get a 220 on a 109lsa??
