    Will......

    Does de-screening the MAF sensor work? A guy at the track this weekend said it did,so im wondering if it really does?

    Nope, our trucks usually don't respond well to that anyway.

    the screen helps the maf get better readings... not worth it really

    Makes things worse, besides its a fairly fine screen, not a huge restriction

    That's right, the screen actually straightens out the air flow to give a more accurate reading of the incoming air. Leave it in there.
