new rear ratio with gear vendors 8 speed auto

What's up guys I've been lurking on the board for a bout a year now. I'm currently set up with an o4 gmc xtra cab with patriot alum. heads , mac long tubes, hi flow cats, magnaflow si/so mufflers,2/12 true duals, eaton posi , 3/73's fully built 4l60 ( billet vette servos vac modulator pump/ precision ind.3000 stall, stage 3 shift kit)tranny -: installer guaranteed 600 horse power for 3 yrs. on tranny w/ warranty)also, 160 thermostat, custom ground thunder racing cam w/ street tune( next week will put on dyno) , k&n true cold air,I am running 20 inch wheels that are 1/8 shorter than my stock 16's...I have a gear vendors over/under that wil convert it to 8 speed auto. My question is this,- i need an opinion on rather I should go to 4.30's or 4.56's for my rear ratio . the gear vendors adds a 25% overdrive ratio in all gears thru gear splitting 1-4 gear into 1 low & 1 hi/2nd low & 2nd hi 3rd low,3rd hi thruout 4th low to 4th hi Has anyone else on thi site used a gear vendors? any feed back appreciated Thanks Richard

Would love a GV, but no, to my knowledge no one on here is currently running one.

I'm curious who's giving you a 3 year warranty on your transmission though - that's a pretty good deal.

i would go with at least 4.56, maybe 4.88. i beleive there's something on their site that will break down ratios for you. i have been looking at them for sometime. just a PITA to do anything over here.

for those who have never heard of Gear Vendors under/overdrive transmissions the most awarded auxiliary transmissions.

i want one just do not have the funds right now. i am going to run 4.11's on mine, b/c of FI. I would try 4.56 on your setup. It should be mean out of the hole. Check out the Camaro on their web sight running 9's! it is crazy.

4.56-4.88. The GV probably will not make our truck quicker as the gear splits won't be enough to offset the weight. They are good for 3-speeds though.
