    nelson tune questions

I'm sold on getting a nelson tune.I have small mods but mainly stock and I have some ?'s Will my stock tranny hold up with the power increase. Do I need a cooler thermostat first like on older truck tunes and how much difference is their going to be between a mail order and him riding with me?

I'm guessing this is for the 2000? The 60e isn't the strongest trans by any means, but it'll handle the "tune" fine...just how you drive it really. If you pound it everyday it won't last as long as if you baby it obviously. The stock thermostat is fine, no need to change it. If you live close enough to allen for a live tune get it! otherwise a mail order is still awesome. I live in WI and he hit mine first try, like he does 99% of the time. Nelson FTW!

+1 on this, a lot of us say if your going to get a tune done, why do anything other than 93 haha. It'll be your best bet for power and you won't be sorry!

If your worried about the tranny tell him not to touch the transmission settings. Tuners do tweak on these and it could shorten the life.
