Would the rear end out of a 2500 hd work in a 99 1500 with a custom axle. That way I could have a good rear end that would just bolt in with the exception of a locker and axles? Thinking future mod here. Is the 2500hd rear end a 14 bolt or different animal all together?

the 2500 14 bolt is too options....one is a 10.5 and other is 11.5. depending on what motor it came with is what size it is.
entirely large rearends....not needed and probably to much work to make them work

your more then likely going to find a 9.5 14 bolt sf the diesels have the 11.5 but thats not even a gm axel. and the 10.5 isent made any more, used to be in the older 2500.
