    LS6 cam vs 224 cam

There's a local guy selling a LS6 cam for a pretty good deal but I was origionally thinking of getting TSP's 224 cam. Now i've heard that the LS6 cam does good in trucks and I could get it now vs having to keep saving for a 224 cam. What do you guys think would be the better route/what would you do? Thanks

In my opinion, dont settle for less then what you really want. You dont want to tear in and replace the cam later. Keep your eye open, I got an almost new Comp XER224 for $125 shipped. The deals are out there, you just gotta be quick.

Unless you're boosting, the LS6 cam is not very good for a heavy vehicle. Pick something else that has an earlier intake valve closing event.
