Question anyone running cold air intake on 09' Gm v8?

wondering cause the mass airs are molded into the air box now like the one on my denali.i heard guys just cut it and its just the mass airs from the years before.well i did that and the truck threw codes about the mass air sux
damm truck didnt want to stay on either.
so now im screwed till i get a new mass air(ouch)or wait till some company makes an intake.

Well This Light Was Getting To Me So I Ran The Onstar Diagnostics And He Said There Was Two Codes,,powertrain Control Detected A Malfunction In The Air Intake System.
    And Also Detected Emission Malfunction
So I Just Screwed Up The Mass Airgonna Call The Stealership In The Morning See How Much It Is.

I had heard the same thing but i guess its a bad idea. Unfortuantely, i also heard that the gmpp intake from the 08, which is really nice, doesnt fit because of the maf.
