Hey dale. I read the heads are trashed and the block was salvageable. Had a question on your 5.3. Did your heads happen to survive?
Maybe make a mixed up pup of a motor to get ya by? Bore the 5.7 to well.... what ever it would be then take the 5.3 heads and slap on it. the CR would be through the roof but get ya driving again fast. Then just find a set of heads down the road and BAM ready to rock again.

I still have a 5.3l that you can come and get. Only cost gas money.
