i crunched some numbers together and came up with this

i gained big torque and hp....its just not all at peak

    gained roughly:

    gained 5hp @5500, LOST 8 TQ @ 5500

    gained 24HP @ 6250, gained 17 TQ @ 5750
    gained 30HP @ 6500, gained 19 TQ @ 5750
    gained 33HP @ 6750, gained 21 TQ @ 5750
    gained 40HP @ 7000, gained 30 TQ @ 5750

new cams average HP between 5500 and 7000 rpm= 417 hp

Do you think it helped or hurt to take it all the way to 7k? You mentioned in another thread how you just bumped it up to 7k even though you kinda stopped making power at 6800

for now i am going by the seat of my pants. my butt says it need a higher shift point. eventually i will do it like i did my 226 cam and take it to the track and test out some different settings.

6900 shift points proved to be the best shiftpoint with the old cam on several passes. i think it just puts the motor back into a better rpm when they drop after the shift.

if this cam puts better track times shifting 6500 or lower thats where it will be. for now it "feels" good at 7k but i wont have anything solid until i get on the track and start tweaking.
