so i just got my truck back3 days ago. I got a cam putt,my heads worked,and a "HD" job on my tranny. and it felt weird when i got it,and the guy told me the cam had to adjust and what not. so yesterday i went and got my cats cut off and got a tune. so now,i try driving it,and it seems like its going to turn off,and its not responsive at all! i cant even try it right. and its throwing white smoke,it smells like gas. what could be my prob?

the only time ive ever had one smell like gas and white smoke it had a broken rocker arm.....plus thats each to check....just pull the valve covers...takes like 10 min

anyways, thats where i would start, i would check the things that are easy to check first and then move deeper inside if you dont find the problem

What Cam did you put in? and what shop did it?

may be runin real ritch other than that a broke rocker arm or valve spring

yeah...make sure they changed valve springs, if they didnt it will cause a rocker arm to break, and/or bend pushrods

yea your rod could brake and fold over and really wreck your motor

You said you put a cam in... You did put in springs right?

yea i put new springs in,and its wasting gas like it aint no joke.

sounds like your really rich or your not getin spark in one chamber have you check out your coils and pull your spark plugs see what there like

yea they pulled them earlier

and them things were black

i just replaced them like 3 months ago
and then he got some new ones
and they got black with in like 2 min with the truck on
