    4l80e or 4l60e?

I should be adding a little power to the 4.8 as soon as the end of the month. Should I try to build up the 60e or is that putting a band aid on a weak trans, or go all out and shell out for the 80e. Remember its a 4.8

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

Voted 80e. 60,65,70e's are just weak sauce. +1 on what Mic said. Call Snyders salvage and see what they have as far as a low milage 80e.

Kinda what i thought the results would be. As far as pulling a Quik i want to put down some power but this is my dd and i dont think this motor can handle that kinda power in a semi DD bases. But we will see i guess.

You know what im gonna say. Boost. Its very friendly on parts out of boost and still handles like a stock truck would as far as driveability. I mean if you get into it its a whole other ball game, but you dont get the choppy ass idles of a cam, or the heat soak of a supercharger. I dunno my truck is very DD friendly, other than the suspension making it ride like sh1t

x2 and if you do go boost take the time to put rod bolts in, they are worth every penny plus you could turn 7000 all day long and not even have to think about it, which means you could go a little bigger on the turbo then boost would kick in later and that way you would have a more DD lower rpm and and a high power high rpm, it would be worse for the track though, and you would have to run a slightly biger cam i dont think a ls6 would cut it IMO not to mention i more of a street not strip kinda guy
