GTK1000 build + sheet metal intake starts

We just got in the final pieces needed for this build. Going with a GTK1000, and a new Synapse 50mm gate. 4" downpipe. We started with out standard kits piping. The gate calls for me to modify the current crossover to accept such a large gate. This gate will be vented to atmosphere but will have a bracket connecting it to the downpipe. This just help with carring the load.

Also here are some pics of a new intake.

that sheetmetal intake looks sweet! im guessing that you used the plastic peices from an existing manifold in them pics? how are you gonna top off the intake? very curious. doesnt seem that hard to actually make if you can fab pretty good.... what are the pros and cons of a sheetmetal intake?

The fabing was not too hard yet. The runners are Carbon Fiber those and the flanges came from Diaphorm. Diaphorms intake by itself is for HI rev LARGE cube engine. With the intercooler on top and will make for a very compact tight fitting set up. Still specing the IC out to get the largest one that will fit under a stock hood. Looking like 3.5-4.5 max. With our billet intake set up, 6" no problem.
    pros
able to build custom to fit the look and needs of the customer.
    Very light
    easily modified
    Looks
Built in thick water to air intercooler
    Compact design
    HI flowing runners
Swapping throttle bodies is pretty simple

    CONS
    Welding and fabriacting time line
    Make sure flanges are flat
    Hi flowing runners
Not jsut a drop in swap some modifing is needed. Fuel system, new fuel rails etc.
Up keep making sure it looks good all the time.
Only really needed hi hp applications.

I did just let you know. LOL The twin blower one was here for a few months.
This one is not sold to anyone so I only work on it when I have time.

I think I will even add a meth spray bar to the mix, just incase the customer wants some more octane...
