    6.2l Motor Swap information

Has anyone done a conversion over to an LS3 6.2l motor? I was told that the following things are different that I would have to modify.
    Knock sensors have moved.
Cam Signal is now in the front timing cover.
    Crank Signal is now 58.
What would it take to do this conversion? The reason I am asking is that I have been offered a really good deal for a 6.2l motor. Has anyone done this?

Uhhhhh NO! You are crazy thinking that I would sell it to ya.

I have a second vehicle so I will be able to enjoy the hassle. Better yet my good friends dad who has a 500+hp TA is going to let me use his garage and help me with the swap for FREE. Ill post the numbers later once the deal has been made.

I've been thinking about that too. Just skipping the Lq9 all together. But thinking about he LSX 454 too.

Free shop time and help, thats the best thing in the world! Sure you'll keep us posted. Be glad to hear what all you personally run across.

Other than those things listed so far. It does use the same mounts right?
    - Waiting for an lq9 swap - Super 40 center in dual out - battery swap to spare tire location - exhaust turndown -

man you guys and buying adapter harnesses...all the wiring is there and there is no need for adapters, the knock sensors you can extend the wire yourself and there is plenty of wire in the stock harness for the cam and map sensor
