    traction control and stabilitrak

so i went back to my apartment for lunch and nothing was wrong, but when i got back in my truck to leave it was flashing service traction control and stabilitrack. i went to get some gas, stoped, turned off the truck, turned it back on and it was still on. this is where it gets interasting, turned it back on again after getting 10 gallons and nothing... whats goin on?? would having a low tank make the tractional control go crazy?

i went to autozone ang got the my codes read and the only ones were 1133 and 1153, which are still on from the idiot that messed up my exhaust.

    any thoughts?

what do those codes mean? bad sensors? I have heard of a lot of the NNBS having to go back to the dealership for electrical work.

i cant tell you EXACTLY what they mean, but basically it means my O2 sensors arent working. theyve been up for a while and have nothing to do with the TC issue, at least that i know of

If the code is gone i wouldn't worry about it. My TBSS did that once and it went away on its own.

1133 and 1153 have nothing to do with the systems for which you have warning lights on. Autozone helps -87689689% when it comes to anything code reading wise other than some engine codes. Is this on the truck or the Denali? The Denali has 25 computers on the data line. The truck probably has at least 15. Since the data bus is being used to transmit more information every year and data transmission saves wiring (not only its complexity but its weight, yes it matters, ask the EPA and CARB), sensors are not wired to all modules that use the data. They are wired to the module that can make most use of the data (in most cases) then that module transmits the sensor data via Class2 data lines to other modules that need the sensor information.

All that being said, you need to check the DTC's in the EBCM and other modules related to the symptom. The ECM/PCM will not usually care about ABS or stability DTC's unless it is related to traction control (since the ABS has wheel speed sensor data but the ECM has control over the electric throttle).

    Does that makes sense?

    You need a TechII.

huh??? i maybe kinda understand what you are saying, but for the most part am now completely lost, haha. all i got autozone to do was tell me what codes were set with their little deal, and no new ones were set. so does this mean that there arent any new ones or that their scanner isnt reading them?

It means they read codes in your engine computer....that have almost nothing to do with the warning lights you have. You need someone friendly, like me, that works at a dealer OR has a GM Tech2 to read codes in the other computers on your truck.

aaaahhhhhh!!!!! got it. the light was only on for about a minute, and then it went off, so should i still get it looked at or since the warning lights went away is it nothing to worry about it??

The light was on for a reason. If it went out, half the time it means it won't matter, the other half of the time it will.

    You decide.
